Gennum was founded in 1973 and is a Canadian semiconductor company. The company mainly produces special-purpose ICs and thick-film hybrid integrated circuits. The main products include low-voltage audio amplifiers for hearing instruments, analog signal processing circuits, video signal distribution and processing components for professional video and broadcast television, and a series of special-purpose integrated circuits. The company is headquartered in Ontario, Canada, where it has two manufacturing plants engaged in IC development, production and sales, as well as two international offices: GennumJapan Corporation and GennumUK Limited, which are mainly responsible for product sales.
